Due to coronavirus pandemic around the
world, people are extensively using video call apps like Zoom and Microsoft
Teams, to run their businesses and to communicate with friends and family. Zoom
has reached 100M+ downloads on Play Store despite its security problems.
Thus Google is likewise trying to beat the competitions with Google Duo, by adding more exciting features. It was first established in 2016 for mobile users. Last year it was updated to make a call for web users. Anyone with a Google account can make a video call.
In the previous update, Google has
increased the number of participants in videos call from 8 to 12. But now
Google has confirmed that in the upcoming update, up to 32 people could join
the video call. And it has already started sending promotional emails about
this update. After this update, Google will be giving tough competition to apps
like Zoom and Facebook.
Google has also confirmed that people
will be able to employ the Web Version to make group calls. And this update
will firstly available for Google Chrome. Google is likewise planning to add a
Family Mode feature that will enable users to make doodle-like effects and
