The new major update for Windows 10 is just around the corner and will bring some exciting features and performance improvements as well. This update is much greater than previous Windows 10’s November 2019 update. It is being officially called as Windows 10 May 2020 Update and the final version, build 19041.207, has been pushed out to Microsoft’s Release Preview ring. This means that it will be released soon for non-beta testers. But the official date is still not confirmed.

New Features:
According to Microsoft, this update will include some exciting features such as:

  • Search Home: To provide easier access, there will be 4 quick search options to Search Home include Top News, Weather, new movies and today in history.
  • Virtual Desktops: you can rename your virtual desktops.
  • Bluetooth Pairing: instead of going to Settings app again and again, now notifications will be used to pair your Bluetooth devices
  • Kaomoji: an exciting feature is Kaomoji. Now you can use multiple emoji’s like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ from the keyboard shortcuts.
  • New Tablet Experience: the screen of your desktop will be still familiar and optimized after detaching your 2 in 1’s keyboard.
  • Cortana: it will act as your "personal productivity assistant" and will help you out in using Microsoft 365 apps. You can use it like any other app like moving or resizing. You will be able to create and ask about meeting in the calendar app. It will help open different apps and even adjusting your screen brightness. With an enhanced email feature, now you can create emails by just saying.

Go to Settings > System > About 
Here you can see edition and version number of your windows.
